Edmonton Columbian Choirs presents Spring Bouquets

The Edmonton Columbian Choirs present Spring Bouquets at McDougall United Church, 10025 101st St, on Tuesday March 16 2010 at 7:30pm.
Spring Bouquets is a concert filled with a mix of sacred and secular music performed by choirs with members aged 5 to adult – the Young Columbian Singers under the direction of Elaine Dunbar, the Junior Columbian Singers under the direction of Vern Slipetz and the Chanteuses Ladies’ Choir under the direction of Heather Bedford-Clooney. Included in the evening are folk songs like Un Canadien Errant and O Danny Boy (with violinist Holly Christiani), O mio babbino caro from Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi, Laudamus te from Vivaldi’s Gloria, some African-American Spirituals, selections by Canadian composers Ruth Watson Henderson, Larysa Kuzmenko and Brian Tate as well as What a Wonderful World, to name a few.
