Heat up with some spicy Latin jazz on Friday, February 12, when Rubim De Toledo joins the Edmonton Jazz Orchestra to create an unmatched energy and exciting sound. 
An exciting evening for big band jazz to meet sultry Latin stylings, seat with some of Alberta’s finest musicians.

As our community's only 16+ piece professional big band, the Edmonton Jazz Orchestra is committed to bringing
traditional jazz music to the forefront and maintaining this beautiful form of music in the Edmonton area. 
In the tradition of Canadian jazz music, we are inspired to uphold this tradition and give local composers an opportunity to
perform their works in the way they were intended.
 
With his new release The River bassist and composer Rubim de Toledo distinguishes himself as a writer with a
unique ability to create material that is modern and sophisticated, yet accessible.  His bass playing demonstrates the
maturity of his approach and validates his reputation as a key musician in the Western Canadian music industry.
